Wallet Security: If you lose your recovery phrase or private keys, your cryptocurrency is permanently inaccessible. No one, including Valeo, can recover lost keys.

Tax Obligations: You are responsible for determining and paying any applicable taxes on cryptocurrency transactions. Tax treatment varies by jurisdiction and transaction type.
Operational Risks

Self-Custody Responsibilities
Valeo is a non-custodial wallet service. This means you have complete control and responsibility for your cryptocurrency.
You Are Solely Responsible For:
Private Key Security:
Safeguarding your 12-word recovery phrase
Protecting your device and account credentials
Maintaining secure backups of your wallet
Never sharing your recovery phrase with anyone
Transaction Verification:
Confirming recipient addresses before sending
Verifying transaction amounts and fees
Understanding that transactions cannot be reversed
Accepting the risk of sending to wrong addresses
Asset Management:
Monitoring your wallet balance and activity
Understanding the cryptocurrencies you hold
Assessing the risks of each asset
Making informed decisions about transactions
Account Recovery:
Creating and securing recovery phrase backups
Testing wallet restoration procedures
Understanding that Valeo cannot recover lost keys
Accepting that lost recovery phrases mean permanent loss of access
Valeo Cannot and Will Not:
Recover lost recovery phrases or private keys
Reverse, cancel, or refund blockchain transactions
Restore access to wallets without recovery phrases
Assume liability for your security practices
Protect you from sending to wrong addresses
Guarantee the value or safety of your assets
Provide insurance or compensation for losses

Network fee amounts or stability

Data Accuracy:

IN NO EVENT SHALL VALEO'S TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE FEES (IF ANY) YOU PAID TO VALEO IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY.

Guaranteed or backed by any entity
If Valeo ceases operations, your cryptocurrency remains accessible via your recovery phrase, but no government insurance protects the value of your holdings.

Valeo may not be available in all jurisdictions. It is your responsibility to ensure your use of Valeo complies with all applicable laws in your location.
We reserve the right to restrict or deny service to users in specific countries or regions based on regulatory requirements or business decisions.
Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use Valeo for:
Illegal Activities:
Money laundering or terrorist financing
Fraud, theft, or deceptive practices
Purchasing illegal goods or services
Evading taxes or reporting requirements
Violating sanctions or embargoes
Prohibited Transactions:
Transactions involving proceeds of crime
Gambling or betting in restricted jurisdictions
Purchases of controlled substances
Weapons or ammunition (where prohibited)
Any activity violating local, state, or federal law
Service Abuse:
Attempting to manipulate or exploit the App
Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
Using automated tools without authorization
Interfering with other users' access
Reverse engineering or decompiling the App
Violation of these restrictions may result in account termination, reporting to law enforcement, and legal action.
Third-Party Services
Valeo integrates with third-party services including:
Solana blockchain network
Price data and market information providers
Authentication and infrastructure services
Future partners for cards and additional features
We are not responsible for:
Performance or availability of third-party services
Accuracy of third-party data or information
